Hi guys, I collect horror movie props and this is my latest peice. Its a popcorn klown replica from killer klowns from outer space. His head is fiberglass with sharp resin teeth and his body is latex. Another great piece for my collection.

I recently rewatched poltergeist for the first time in a hell of a lot of years. It was not scary to me at all. I remembered being scared of it as a kid ad hoped it would hold up.

The Exorcist isn't scary anymore. As I kid I was scared of it, but as an adult not so much. I think I am desensitized...no movies shock or scare me. I've seen it all.

I watched it a few years ago and it still holds up for me. My wife more-so.

LOL toilet monster FTW.

I don't think a horror movie has scared me beyond the age of about 10.  I still don't like "IT" though.... realistic clowns creep me out.  It scared me when I was little because I was waaay too young to watch it.  It isn't scary at all now, but damn... clowns....

I like the KK collection though, it's cool.

I don't think a horror movie has scared me beyond the age of about 10.

House of the Devil, Session 9, and REC are ones that spring to mind that freaked us out in recent years. Of course, we (my wife and I) turn out the lights and allow no distractions. We don't watch horror movies unless we can completely devote ourselves to them.

I guess I'm just immune then.  I saw all three of those and didn't find them scary in the least.  I enjoyed REC though, it was visually interesting.

There are certainly horror films that make me uncomfortable though.  The saw films, while ridiculous and not scary in the least, sometimes make me unfomfortable.  I don't understand why anyone would want to watch overtly realistic torture scenes that seem to serve no other purpose but to force you to watch someone getting mutilated.

It's hard to explain.

Nightmare, Friday and TCM all had overtly violent scenes in them, but the focus wasn't on the act and they weren't lingered upon.  They way they did it, everything seemed downright comical.  The early hellraiser films centered around torture, but again, it's all in the presentation.  It seemed almost artistic in those films.

I still wish somebody could make a film that genuinely scares me though.  I think I'm too familar with the genre... I see everything coming a mile away, even on the really good ones.
