It's amazing. Look at the guy's ears . . . even his EARS are distorted by the punch.

Hah hah, yeah, although some of it is probably 'cauliflower ears'. The other guy has it some, too. (Still again, it could be genetic. Some people are born wi' dos!)

As hard as it may be to believe...  A much lesser punch does about the same thing.  Humans react very fluidic when struck... Its just that the vibrational waves are so fast, that we cant really detect it.  With the use of slow motion capture, even the smallest of taps, can reveal some amazing and unexpected things.

Is there any slow motion footage of death punches or toe taps?

The one of the American putting his chi(?) into another. I think it was on Spike? It's the same episode where it shows the same "catching" a blade in mid-swing wearing a pair of Shuko.

xiaou is right though. I posted a pic of a beat up rugby player after trying to find a beautiful picture by a high speed photo pioneer. It was of a rugby ball as it was just being kicked, and it looked nothing like a rugby ball in that instant.

I used to watch time warp on tv all the time. It is crazy what some stuff looks like at ultra high speed.  After hitting a ball,  a baseball bat bends at like a 35 degree angle.
