Monitor Options
« on: April 26, 2012, 11:39:31 am »
I am in the process of upgrading my Arcade with a new monitor.  I currently have an old 22" NEC CRT monitor.  I know people have placed old CRT TV's in their Arcades but with the new options of larger computer LCD or LCD TV's, what is a better choice?

I built the cabinet with the option of adding a 27" Arcade monitor.  I am looking for something that will be relatively easy to install (preferred with a VGA D-Sub 15 pin connection).  I have about 27" width to work with.

My question is what would be the easiest (not too expensive) option?

27" Arcade monitor ($600) <-- expensive
27" TV ($20) <-- how to hook up?
28" LCD Monitor from Newegg ($275) <-- widescreen :(
