Not recognizing input in Wolfmame .106
« on: April 21, 2012, 03:13:46 pm »
I can add credit and start the game, then no inputs are recognized (up, down, left, right, escape, etc). I can't even alt+F4 to quit. I've tried everything I can think of, but not sure where to go from here. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

....why are you pressing alt+F4 to quit?

And are you using a controller (what kind?) or keyboard?

Because alt+F4 is a universal shortcut in windows to terminate a program.  It works in most games and apps, but it doesn't work in all versions of mame for the record.  ;)

Sounds like your default.cfg got foobarred.  Go to the cfg folder and delete "default.cfg"  and try again.

Good question...this is because nothing will register after I start a game (so ESC won't impact anything).

Howard--thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that first thing in the morning!
