Not recognizing input in Wolfmame .106

I can add credit and start the game, then no inputs are recognized (up, down, left, right, escape, etc). I can't even alt+F4 to quit. I've tried everything I can think of, but not sure where to go from here. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Because alt+F4 is a universal shortcut in windows to terminate a program.  It works in most games and apps, but it doesn't work in all versions of mame for the record. 

Sounds like your default.cfg got foobarred.  Go to the cfg folder and delete "default.cfg"  and try again.

Good question...this is because nothing will register after I start a game (so ESC won't impact anything).
