My Reliable Pole Position....
« on: April 15, 2012, 06:13:41 pm »
Well I now own 4 pole position cabinets, one of which was a PPII conversion. None of these work, big blues, ARII, power boards, burned edge connectors, etc. The game just isn't reliable. A few months back I picked up a pole position cabinet from Malenko and it was the nicest of all 4. So I finally organized my Gameroom from more of a warehouse full of close to 100 games to a more party like setup so I can party when I want and actually fix games. I don't have enough board sets to completely fix all 4 pole positions and I'm tired of keeping them running so I am going to MAME the Malenko cabinet as a keeper of mine. This will have all analog controls as it should (steering AND gas). Game will also contain a few other early driving games that use a 360 wheel and a hi-low shifter and just a gas pedal. I have an old PC laying around to use. I also am going to use the original arcade monitor along with soft15khz to drive the monitor. More details soon.
Where's my gold star :P
