Man, this stupid little app (iPhone version) is so addicting. Create a game against GinsuVictim. I'd love to play.

Leave your username here for others to play against you.

This game just makes me wish I had an iPad instead. My stylus on iPhone is better than just drawing with my finger, but it's still tough to get anything to look decent. (Had fun drawing Kirby, though)

Anyone remember those saturday night live skits with Horatio Sanz where he would start of drawing genitals and then turn it into something else?  That's my artistic style in Draw Something.  Its amazing how many things you can draw by starting out with a pair of balls and a penis

Funny Draw Something was a huge draw for me to get the Samsung note using the pen the 5" screen and pen make it sooo much easier than your finger but the actual app has the drawing dot off centre so that's why when you use your finger you always seem to miss using the pen you can see it being off centre but it's a great game I love it  :afro:

Haters gonna hate.

My GF got the Note two weeks ago. I have to admit it's a pretty cool phone. and for her needs it's perfect.
Some of the stylus apps are cool.

No but it was one of the many reasons I purchased it as a phone it really is a great one the screen size is perfect for me and the res makes using it a pleasure for the internet and other apps it's really a mini tablet to be honest and fits in the pocket no probs but I understand the screen size isn't for everyone still playing Draw something on it with the stylus is fantastic.

I'm hooked. Username: Jakemoses

I've so far only made random connections, but I'm hooked up with one chick who is amazing. Once I've figured out what she's drawing I type out everything but the last letter so I can watch her drawings come together instead of only getting a brief glimpse of the final product before being moved onto the next round.

I got motor within 2 seconds, without even looking at the letters.  I'll admit, sometimes, I have to stare at those letters for minutes before I get it with some drawings.  One guy sent me a drawing of a circle, drew 8 very short lines evenly surrounding it (basically all 8 inter/cardinal directions), then put a big smiley face in the circle.  I couldn't figure it out (before I figured out the random letter cheat, explained below).  Had my wife and kids look at it.  Took them about a minute...spider.  Some other person drew a black, half-assed triangle shape, then filled it with yellow.  Somehow I was supposed to know it was iron.

A cheat is if you can't figure it out, make a note of the letters available, then quit out of the game.  Jump back in (you'll watch the other person guess yours again, which you can skip) and the random letters that are not in the world will change, thereby allowing you to know which ones are in the word.  You don't even need bombs.  Because of this, I've never given up on a word, and gotten them all.

Every so often, I feel like giving the other person a challenge, and I don't draw something (heh) as good as I possibly could, because it would make it too easy.

I think the colors are too expensive.

Sometimes I get someone who, instead of drawing a picture, just writes the answer. Like, in letters. They just tell me the answer. This makes utterly no sense to me. At first when people did this I would just write, "That's not fun," when it was my turn to draw and hit "Done." Now I give the iPad to my 5-year old daughter and let her draw. It's hilarious. She spent like ten minutes drawing a forest and, without knowing what it was beforehand, it looked nothing like a forest. The poor bastard was guessing words for at least five minutes before giving up. And I can only imagine the giant "WTF?" floating above their head when they saw the answer.

When I get people who just write the answer, or give a clue like "_ _ _ goes moo," I send them back a note calling them cheating scum and then delete the game. (On the game list, just swipe across the name)

Though, like Shmokes, I have had times where I just sent them a completely wrong picture first.

This game is taking over my world user name is Doctonica and I think some people cheat to get the coins quicker.  You need the coins to get more colour packs in the free version, so just pick the 3 coin word, write it out send it, let them have the 3 coins repeat ad infinitum and eventually you have all the packs.

Be warned my drawings suck, so sometimes there will be word hints, but nothing as bad as "--- goes moo".  It would be more along the lines of Mickey rourke = (along with a really bad pic of a wrestler).

I could be wrong, but I think you get coins only when you guess someone else's pic. So the best strategy for coin accrual is to draw only 1-coin words (because they can typically be drawn quicker) and hope that the people with whom you're playing draw 2 and 3-coin words for you.

For me, the best part of the game by far is drawing. I'm not very good, but I frequently draw far more elaborate pictures than necessary because I'm having fun. I almost always draw 3-coin words because they almost always provide the most challenge and, hence, the most fun. But it's not the best strategy for earning coins. to be perfectly honest I actually paid $5 for like 1400 coins and then I bought a bunch of color packs. I wanted more colors and I didn't want to grind to get them. For me progression in this game is not satisfying at all. I'm not like building up my character or something. I just like drawing and guessing other people's drawings.

There have been a few times I have noticed that the wrong picture was sent and the person guessing my picture had the wrong set of letters.

The wife has had a few rounds where it was just all wrong letter sets to choose from. IE: She sends "cat" but none of the letters the other player gets could possibly spell cat.

I'm not sure I could find any faults in the game aside form two things. The aforementioned letters bug, and the 99 round cap...

Is this gonna be like Angry Birds where everyone bitches and moans that a 99 cents game isn't perfect?

One a per player basis.  When they've sold that 99 cent game to a million people, then yes, it should be perfect.
But wasn't it fun to think you won the lottery, just for a second there???

That was nice bacon by the way. You probably guessed that that was me, I dont have a username, just my facebook name. I like guessing more than I like the drawing, I have to admit. I just got enough coins for colors.
Pictures are overrated anyway.

You know the sad thing about kungfu is I've had that before and drew it.  The no-spaces in multi-word answers can mess you up sometimes.

Ever find yourself saying "I'm spending waaaaay too much time doing this..."

I'm only doing a few, and I think I spend way too much time doing some of these drawings.

Nope...my arcade's been down for nearly two years.  I've yet to spend the money and fix it.

Your drawings are great, no doubt about it!

The Boggle thing sort of irritates me--where someone just starts randomly throwing letters into the boxes as fast as they can before a single line has even been drawn. It's not an anagram game, and you get no extra points for speed. Take some Adderall and watch the drawing.

I honestly think it's a little bit rude to play this way. It's a two player game, and part of the fun for the other player is to see how effective their drawings were--hence why the game lets you watch the other try to figure out the answer. But  :dunno, maybe it's equally rude for me to make elaborate drawings that take three minutes to draw when I could have drawn something in 30 seconds that would probably have given away the answer just as well.

One thing I've noticed, when watching someone guess my drawing, they knew the answer extremely fast... before anything was really drawn. Well if you exit the app while watching the drawing being made and go back, it starts over fresh. I got interrupted watching a drawing that was nearly finished, and when I went back to it, I already knew the answer so was able to type it in really early during the "guess" turn... Might come off as rude, but I did watch the whole drawing the first time...

The boggle thing, well, there's not a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- ton of words and many can be guessed quickly without a drawing.

Naw . . . it's certain users. They do it every time. And they won't necessarily guess it right away. But they're just plugging away at the letters non-stop from the very beginning, often spelling things that are obviously not even words. It's bizarre and also pretty common.

I'll do it here and there, as you've no doubt seen, but I won't just keep doing it over and over.  I'll give it one or two shots.  (Half the time I miscount the number of letters in the word, and try putting in a word that's one extra letter.)

I had a group of letters that spelled out "--missioncontrol--" once.  It was an 8 letter word too, so it worked out!

Sorry folks, I didn't realize that guessing/fitting letters into spaces before the drawing was finished was a thing that bothered people.  When I do it before the drawing is finished, well that is kinda crappy.   Other times, its because I don't know the answer and I am trying to find something that fits instead of just wasting the turn.

Yeah, there's no incentive. There should be a multiplier that kicks in at certain points.

no, cause then you get them stupid people who will pair up and just write out the words and grind the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- out of it.

The only incentive is pride.  Isn't that all you need?

Let them. Anyone who actually wants to play will discontinue any games with them, then they've done that ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- for nothing.

Am I missing it or does this game not really have any incentive for epically long games?  I've gotten to round 30ish with a couple of you and it seems like we're still getting the same number of coins per round.  Without some kind of bonus there's no real reason not to skip turns.

 :dunno

My sister and I got to 99, not only does it stop there, you dont get some mega coin bonus or anything.  :dunno
Pictures are overrated anyway.

I was playing a lot just to get new colors, I'm running out of steam now that I have green  :-\

Although Nephasth and I had back to back Skyrim references.  He drew the dragon logo and I did an "archery" to the knee.

Yes, but if the devs did do that, they'd lose out on people who were too impatient as it stands now (cough shmokes cough) and just bought the extra color palettes.  I.e, they'd have less people paying actual cash for the colors.

 ;D

What can I say. The app was free. $5 is a small price to pay for all the fun I've had with it. Also, at this point, I've bought more colors with earned coins than purchased ones. I've never used coins on bombs, purchased or earned.
