Armor Attack
« on: March 19, 2012, 02:24:42 pm »
I picked up an Armor Attack machine on the cheap from a yard sale.  It was the craziest thing.  Last week, I found a deal on a 40" monitor and started my video pinball cabinet.  On friday night, someone offered me a Motordome pinball.  On the way home from picking up Motordome on Saturday morning, I see an arcade game on the street, one block down from my house.  It was Armor Attack.  The owner had it plugged in and let me play it on the street, it seemed to work find.  I threw it in the truck, drove one block and had it in my basement within 10 minutes of finding it.  A fuse had popped out, but I put it back in without issue.  I went from 1 gaming cabinet to 4 in just a few days.  My wife is excited about it.  That's why I married her.

That is where the awesomeness ends.  When I first plugged it in at home, it seemed fine.  I threw some quarters in, no problem.  Right before I could hit the start button, a lightning bolt blazed across the monitor and everything but the top lamp turned off.  Powering the machine off and on does the same thing.  When I look in the back of the cabinet, I can see the orange glow on the back of the monitor, so I know it's getting power, there is just nothing on the screen and no sound.  Anyone have any ideas where I should start trouble shooting here?  I have a few ideas, but it's always best to ask the experts first.

Thanks

/\___ not my cab.  I didn't bother taking a picture of it yet and I wanted to work on Motordome first, but I haven't gotten a response to that post yet.
