**URGENT** PLEASE HELP SETTING COIN MECH

Hi there, I've installed 2 arcade machines in a pub, the owner said all the money that the machines makes i can take, it's mine.

He said that i must set the coin mechs to R2 (South African currency).

Now, my machine has got a electrical coin acceptor, and apparintly it compares coins.
I phoned the guy that i bought the machine from, he said i must look for 2 brass screws and undo them.

Like i understand then the coin will be under there that the machine compares it to, and i have to replace the 50c with a R2 coin.

Can someone just explain to me, or show me a photo / video on how to do it please? thank you

First of all, there is no internet forum that I know of that appreciates people that are shouting. If you have been here for some time you will understand that people will help you even if you don't use capital letters Being humble and polite is usually the best way.

Anyway, posting a picture of the cabinet doesn't help much if it is the coin mech that is the problem. To get some proper help we would need picture of that, and preferable a model name and number.

Finally, you have more or less already answered you own question. If you have a coinmech that compares the inserted coins with a reference coin you just need to replace the reference coin that is mounted in the coinmech. Just to undo two screws as you stated in the first post, that holds the reference coin and then replace it and then tighten the screws again..

whats the coin mech make ans model number-if its a chinese mech it should be straightforwards

post a photo of the coin mech from as many angles as possible,in good light

this should be incredibly simple

look carefully and you should see the 50c coin held in the mech

Hi there, thanx for the posts, i went to the place yesterday, well, after looking at the mech i saw the 2 brass screws, undid them with a flat head screw driver, and the peace lifted upwords, the 50c coin fell out, i inserted the R2 from the bottom, let the peace down again, screwed the brass screws back, and it worked fine. It's a simple process, but it was just a bit tricky to get the R2 coin in, but i managed.

The one board is faulty, keeps on freezing on me, checked the voltage, was at 4.8 on the jamma board, had to set it to 5.5 volt, still freezing, i phoned my supplier, i must go fetch a new board from him tommorow, and I'm also picking up a pinball machine for the pub aswell.
