Generic Shooting Cabinet
« on: March 17, 2012, 08:57:18 am »
I have another project i'm starting (I really should finish one of the other arcade cabs first  :lol)

I managed to get a free 50" Rear projection that has a cracked screen and a lot of hours left on the bulb so I think it would be perfect for a shooter cabinet.

My plan is to make a pedestal and house everything in there and just run the video and sound to the TV.

I will have to elevate the tv to eye level but that won't be hard at all and i'm still deciding on if I should use wiimotes as i have some laying around or spend the money on a quality wired setup either way that will happen down the track.

I am wondering if I should just have it as a shooter cab or have it as a 2p cab with light guns.

Anyway onto the pics the crack is down the middle but it's not really noticeable when you are playing a game but I will have to see if there is a way to repair it.

You can see the crack on the "of" in the title

And the crack

For being free I think it will work well :)

As with my other projects this will take a while for an update.

I am interested in how this progresses. I have a empty zombie raid cabinet I have been meaning to turn into a shooter for a long time. What light guns are you planning on using with this?
