Wii Theme for HyperSpin
« on: March 15, 2012, 11:53:49 pm »
What's up guys.  I know HyperSpin doesn't officially support emulation of the Wii, but seeing as how it's a frontend (just for launching emulators/games), I see no harm in creating my own Wii theme.

I'm no photoshop guru, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out.  Box art and game disc images are easy enough to get, but the database.xml and wheel images really took some time.  I've got 220 titles included so far.

I've made a few vids which are included, but I really don't have decent hardware for that kind of video capture.  Hopefully in the very near future I'll get some, then slowly start accumulating game play vids to include with this theme.

But for now, it's a pretty decent start.  I made a module which launches Dolphin (for those using HyperLaunch 2.13).  Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to make the emulator "auto-pair" with an actual wiimote.  Take a look at the
screens and check the youtube vid.  I'd love some feedback.  This is my first theme so I know it's far from perfect, but so am I.  Guess it all works out

Would love to try it out if you dont mind sharing and can find a place to upload. Where did you get the box and cd art? I know HS doesnt host that stuff on the FTP, did you also make that yourself? My comp runs WII perfectly, I dont have time to make those themes myself so this could be really awesome to use, thanks.

Thanks :)  I put a download link on the youtube page.  The only thing that really sucks though is that a wiimote still needs to be paired manually in Dolphin first. bummer :hissy:  maybe someone will figure out a way around this.
until then, enjoy this w.i.p.

Are you still working or this project or have any active links for it?  I'm currently starting on using hyperspin and would love to use this theme if your ok with it?
