GroovyMAME on dual monitors
« on: March 07, 2012, 04:26:03 pm »
So I got tired of playing my Shmups on my horizontal vga cab (really missed my Blast City) so I hooked up my NEC XM2960 to the secondary monitor.  With a little tweaking of soft15k (im on Win 7 X64) I have it sending out a perfect 15k signal to the NEC.  The games look and play perfect, no screen tearing or audio issues.  I made a special "Vert" category on Hyperspin so that if the games are launched from the "Vert" list they will output to the NEC rotated and use the arcade stick.  If I launch it from the main list it will load on the Naomi as usual and use its controls.  Check it out:

Hyperspin will stay on the game theme on my universal until I quit out and then it will go back to normal.  Works out really nice.  Thanks for all the work on GroovyMAME.

Awesome setup! ;D You've inspired me... to do what, I don't yet know... ;) but the horizontal/vertical combined setup looks magic.

Know this has been somewhat of a resting thread for a while, Ansa89, but once I'm done checking a few things in Windows for Calamity I'll get back to you on the Linux side of things.

Sorry to necropost on this one, Ansa86, but I haven't had any luck.  I haven't managed to succeed in getting my Radeon 6670 to output to both in Linux.  I'm still trying to figure out methods.
