2-in-1 Switcher. Please Help!
« on: March 01, 2012, 02:11:27 pm »
I bought the 2-in-1 Jamma switcher from here:
http://www.jammaboards.com/store/2-in-1-multijamma-switcher-pcb-gbs-8118-gbs-8118.html

After it was already shipped, I reread the description and it is telling me that it is only capable of 4 shooter buttons.  I want to hook up both Killer Instinct 1 and 2 into a KI2 cabinet using this switcher.  Does someone know the process and the other parts I would need?  I would be greatly appreciate for any help you can give!

You'll have to split your kick harness to go to each board (KI and KI2), and install the appropriate diodes in the kick harness. Search for "multi kick harness"...

I had seen something about these being directly wired to each of the board's extra buttons.  Would this work?

Tried reading about the kick harnesses.  I need the idiot's guide.

Um... no. You'll need another kick harness connector that actually plugs into the board, it's a JST part I believe. There is no idiot's guide for this, do some thorough digging and you'll find what you're looking for. I've never done it, but I've come across examples a time or two in my research...

The idiot's guide? Here it is....

Current collection - 28 cabs, 4 pins. (32 machines and not enough room)
