Makvision / Wei-Ya 29" (27") tri-sync flat CRT issues

So I have a brand new 29" (27") Makvision in my arcade cabinet and I am currently experiencing a few issues with it.

First of all, the monitor flickers/shakes slightly, but it's not visible on the entire screen, only in the left- and rightmost sides of the monitor. This is visible on all resolutions I've checked.

Also, there is a weird sensation that I find really hard to explain, but I will try; when scrolling from right to left, it is like the monitor is "divided into 3 sections". The 3 sections looks like they are slightly above and below each other, so it kinda makes the picture look a bit "wavy" when it's scrolling.

Really hard to explain that last one and it doesn't really show in videos, so I don't know what else to say, but I hope that someone has experienced a similar issue and that you can help me out a bit here.

do you have a transformer anywhere near the monitor
do you have any speakers anywhere near the monitor
is the monitor running from 230vac or 115vac
have you bought up a grid test pattern to look at geometry
is it manual or auto degauss

No transformer near the monitor.
There are shielded PC-speakers above the monitor (like on the previous cabs I've had).
The monitor is running from 230V.
I've tried different test patterns and the geometry is fine, except for the slight shaking. The other weird issue can only be seen when the picture is scrolling.
It degausses when I turn it on, so I assume it's auto degauss?

I just tried to disconnect it, but I couldn't do it. It was completely stuck and I didn't want to pull it too hard as the entire PCB was bending.

I checked my monitor's instruction manual and it said that I could switch between manual/auto degauss on the PCB, but the switch had a green plastic cap on it and I couldn't get that one off either.

I'm pretty sure that the problem lies with the degaussing though, as I also just noticed that if the monitor has been on for a little while then the colors get all purple and messed up in some of the corners.

Thanks for the advice btw. I will have another look at removing the degauss plug later today.

can you post a photo of the plug you were trying to disconnect and also the green cap on the switch you describe
