Mame CHD questions
« on: January 31, 2012, 06:58:01 pm »
Hello, I have a few questions about mame and chd games...

1. Which chd based games work well in mame
2. Can I get a list of chd based games that should work fine on a pentium 4 2.8ghz computer?

-Thanks

Garza

Well I know I have tried with the same CPU however as you probably already know the computer is as powerful as the hardware you put in...Your video card your motherboard and memory really have a big say in how it is going to work. The main problem is that the chds that I have tried i.e. Blitz, Blitz 2000, Rush, and Area 31 are all in one way or another choppy. Just doesnt seem like a computers processing per cycles for the cpu yet is up to par even with a 5k machine that I tried with all top of the line components intel 7 processor with 16gb of ram. Sorry for the long story but I have been trying to crack this for a long time. I finally gave up made a mame machine and now just bought pcbs of Blitz, Blitz99, and roms for Blitz 2000 with all the hard drives. In total I paid around 200 bucks on ebay working pcbs. I am going after a dual machine now Mame/Orig Blitz arcade I have the cabinet we do have the technology we can rebuild him! Good luck! Let me know if you find out any secrets for the chds....
