Speaking of this section of the game . . . man, that flooded forest thing is the perfect example of what's wrong with this franchise. WTF? The existence of the world is at stake and the dragon spirits have you have to swimming around in a game of hide-and-seek with little musical note characters that look like they were borrowed from the set of Handy Manny. It's not even fun. It's like the product of some demented obsession with adding value in the form of arbitrarily making the game take longer to finish. It would be add just as much value if they just had a timer pop up on screen that said, "Go do something else for an hour," and started counting down. The game would take an hour longer to beat, but ANYTHING else you decided to do during that hour would be more fun that the nonsense minigame they came up with.
Fortunately the desert one, and especially the volcano one, are aren't so bad.
