I'm trying to get my PC displaying in my Dynamo style showcase cabinet and I can't find a way to make it work. Here is my setup:
Monitor: 33" Pentranic 1131 (Note I can find no information on this monitor, but it was running a Sega STV so I'm assuming it's just a standard CGA 15khz display)
Interface: VGA through Ultramarc J-Pac
PC Video: Geforce 9400 or ATI Radeon HD 5450 in Windows XP
I started by trying to get things to work using Soft15Khz through the Geforce 9400. I was having no luck at all, so I assumed it's was my lack of an EDID dongle. I found the ATI card was the same price as the dongle, so just went for it.
With the ATI card, things are getting more complicated. After installing Soft15khz (which was successful), I got stuck in a reboot loop. Uninstall/reinstalling the video driver fixed the problem. I also tried installing with the 7.12 pixel clock limit and had the same result. At that point I switched to trying out Powerstrip and tried just getting the Windows desktop to displaying at 320x240 15khz. Unfortunately no matter what I do, I just can't get it to display properly. I have attached the closest I can get, which Powerstrip claims is 320x240 at 16khz.
At this point I am completely out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions?
