Howdy-
I figured that, with all of the artwork & printing experience on this board, I might find some help for an unrelated project:
I'm working on a product & wish to make a run of inexpensive boxes (about 2"x2"x3"), without getting too mired in doing every step myself (particularly, the cutting & gluing process). My requirements:
- Color printing (either full-color or perhaps 3-color)
- No adhesive or tape to assemble box (beyond perhaps 1 seam).
- Box needs to fold flat for storage until assembled & used.
- Need not be strong--will have light contents & not be stacked & need not withstand shipping without being in another protective box. Think cereal box or even thinner material, maybe card stock (but not plain old printer paper).
- About 150 boxes for the first run, maybe a few hundred more later.
- Cheap! The product itself is worth only a few $, so it doesn't make sense to spend much on the box...
Anybody have print shop experience or connections?
I did a quick search to see if there was some handy perforated Avery printer paper on which I could print & then punch out the box form, possibly glue one seam, & then fold the box into shape. (Something like CD/DVD inserts, where you print, then punch out, then fold. I haven't found such a product, yet.
A little more searching turned up a few promising options:
