I think, "this won't end well" and get in the other lane. Sure enough, the guy doesn't regularly drive that truck and doesn't realize they lunge a little from a stop unless you make sweet foot love to the gas pedal and sends the entire stack flying when he takes off from a stop light. Thankfully nobody was hurt but damn.

ive seen this type of thing happen before. its a bit surreal to see it when it happens. I saw a guy lose a table and 4 chairs out the back onto the road. Lucky you got out of the way.

I once saw a Malenko lose a perfectly good Pole Position cab off the back of his truck onto the Delaware highway.

Yeah, just super busy lately, and almost zero time for arcade hobbyings.

I did get a cold call last week from a woman who worked with my son at a school he used to attend. She had me haul off a Gottlieb woodrail with a gorgeous backglass and a beaten up Pole Position on saturday. So I got that going for me. Which is nice.

I haven't had the chance to test that yet. Her description was "it worked until last year, some wires burned, and my husband did a little work to fix that but then it stopped working again." The ground and 5v edge contacts on the PCB have been repaired with some fairly heavy copper but the harness has electrical tape on those lines. It looks like someone fixed the board for the usual Atari AR/Sense failure and then half assed the connector. The cabinet is beaten up, but can be brought back, so I'm probably going to do that once I get it working. No idea when I'll have the RL time for that, though.

It's the woodrail that is the score here. This is going to be a really, really nice game and it's a rare one. Gottlieb Crossroads, 1952. I can get pics soon if anyone wants them.
