Question my Sega/Sanwa PM1745..
« on: January 01, 2012, 02:52:25 pm »
I have a few questions about my Sega mp1745 , i was reading here alot and i know some people like grantspain use and know about the sega sanwa pm1745.

So basically i want to know if this is a positive sync board, because it sure seems that way using my arcade VGA card i can only send a signal when i reverse the output to a positive sync. I thought i read somewhere that on the board is a negative sync spot as well. I would much appreciate if someone could post a photo and circle the spot, and would anyone have schematics for this board?

THANKS !!!

there is no switch the change polarity but the video signal plug does have vertical and horizontal sync

Okay so this is where i have it connected, the original wiring harness that was connected here as well, and it is a 6 pin connector with only 5 wires connected to it.

original japanese wiring is
red-red
green-green
blue-blue
white-video ground
blue/white-comp sync(h sync)
sounds like you have
red-red
green-green
blue-blue
black-video ground
white-comp sync

as long as they connected to corresponding pin on the video signal plug then all should be fine
even if your sync is on the wrong sync pin (v sync)that does not expalin why the need for positive sync signal
if video ground and sync were reversed you would not get a locked picture
