Newest Bartop 2 player
« on: December 24, 2011, 06:32:39 pm »
Since alot of the info repeats when I build these bartops I am posting only the changes or differences in the builds.

1.     2 player control panel with 4 buttons per player
2.     Interior view.
3.     New item is a Smart Power Plugin that controls the power to the Monitor and Light.
4.     A hole was made in the back panel so a 3 prong ext cord can plug into the Smart Power Unit.
5.     Control panel showing 2 player setup and buttons on front panel.
6.     Got the marquee printed at Costco.   Sale now on for 18 x 12 for only $1.99
Works great if you put the 2 prints together for the marquee.  (Great Price)
7.      Posted better picture of whole cab.

Thats all for now

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all BYOAC members.

as usual, it looks great. Is the marquee lit up in the current pic? I stumbled across the conversation between you and thefearsomefearful about that and i was going to experiment with some of the same things such as sanding down the back to see if that would help thin out the paper.

It is lit in the posted pic but the flash washes it out.   I use 2 prints together to cut down on the light as it washes out with only 1 print.   Don't see why you would need to thin out your print unless it is much thicker than the one I had printed.

Looking really good.

I'll have to try Maximus arcade, to date I've only used HyperSpin.

Thanks for the comments guys.   It is hard to come up with new ideas that improve but do not cost too much but your comments are incentive. :D

Edit: The old 3.5 inch sata was only 80 Gb and was noisy so I upgraded it to a 360 Gb 2.5 inch which is alot quieter and uses alot less power.   I needed extra space for music and a jukebox program.  With Mame and about 5 emulators I only had 6Gb left on the 80 Gb.

Switched the player 1 joystick from an 8 way fighter to an Ultimarc Mag stick plus since the 4 way games were horrible on the 8 way.   Even in the 8 way setting the Ultimarc Mag stick plus plays the 4 way better.
