I have a WG k7000 25" with new cap kit. The image is squeezed in the middle but stretched on top and bottom. So a circle in the top or bottom will actually take the shape of an egg because of the distortion.

I replaced all capacitors (except the very huge one) and I don't know what could cause that.

Any idea?

BTW, the picture doesn't do it justice because the camera was too close and that kind of cancel out the distortion a bit. But it's still noticable.

I'm just thinking... is it possible that the yoke is a bit too close? It seems to me, if it would be further back it would fix it, at least a bit. But I'm very hesitant to play with the yoke. Hope it's something else.

if the yoke has always been in it's present position then I can't see any reason why that would affect the picture.

questions,is that the original tube/yoke combo for that chassis, did the picture display like that before you replaced the caps

It's a not the original chassis, but the chassis that was there before was still a k7000. I just received the monitor recently so I don't really know its full story unfortunatly... I don't know if the yoke and tube are the original combination.

And yes, even before I installed the new caps the image was like that.

I would suppose you could at least pull the yoke line and measure the resistance and then compare that with a known good one. I'm sure someone here would be able to tell you what the resistance should be.
