Hey guys,
I need major help.
I started a mame cabinet 7 years ago, had it up and running 7 years ago. I moved to Los Angeles after college and left it at my parents house for 6 years. I finally picked it up a month ago and brought it to Los Angeles.
I finished up what I had left on the project, painting, the marquee and finally mounting the monitor.
YAY! but it's been 7 years and I wanted to upgrade the machine.
I installed a new motherboard, which made my old ArcadeVGA obsolete. I bought a new one.
But it didn't work. I can't get any image on my monitor. I sent it back to Andy and turns out the ArcadeVGA is working fine.
In the mean time, I borrowed a Geforce Quadro 1440 and with soft15khz, the machine was up and running again. So, I decided to f*** it up again.
I wanted to run Street Fighter IV but the Geforce is too weak to run it. I bought a XFX Radeon HD 4550.
When I connect the video card and the monitor the image is so scrambled. I can't do anything, screwing with the knobs doesn't fix anything.
I bought a EDID, I'm waiting for it to arrive.
I received another ArcadeVGA from Andy. I tried it again, with no luck.
I really want the Radeon card to work now.
Asus a8n-sli deluxe
AMD 2.2
4GB RAM
XFX Radeon HD 4550
I'll post a picture of the scrambled video tomorrow.
I'm open to suggestions.
Also, the video is scrambled from the boot screen to windows. I can't get any clear video image.
