??? do you mean will it play burned NTSC-U discs? Yes I think so, will it play NTSC-U formatted games? No, you need a modded dreamcast for that.

If you want a dreamcast that can play official NTSC-J and NTSC-U games let me know, I have a couple of modded systems I'm selling (also includes battery mod).

original ntsc games wont play on a japanese dreamcast. burned copies will play as is without any modification.

you can use the utopia boot disc to play original ntsc games though.

FYI, you can burn the boot disc too just in case you didn't know (it wasn't too clear to me before)

Just weighing up my options. Dreamcasts are stupidly expensive in Australia. I saw a cheap Jap one though with a 240V supply installed so was considering that. I don't care to play games with Japanese in them, no matter how awesome people say they are  ;D

do you have a decent computer/video card? you can play on dc/naomi emulator instead. nulldc is solid and play like 98% of the dc games.
