After replacing the battery it loaded right up no problem. It still doesn't see the card reader and it wont start unless I use the button on the front of the tower.

ok good we are back where we started i must admit u had me concered
let me recap so i get the fact's right
u have 2-x card reader's ?
both doing the same thing
but if u use the start button the game will do it's normal bypass and carry on properley ,play a game or 2 and let's c if there are any other hick up's
we can test the reader on a normal putter by loading the nessary driver's into the :host:,and plugging in the unit to the new :host:
that would be my next move

Yes after i hit start it plays as normal. Ill play a couple games and see if anything weird happens. Ill start a game now. Yes I have 2 card readers and both do not show up.

I just walked into the gameroom and the game is frozen. The led topper is still normal but the game is frozen and the buttons do nothing.

reset game,ie shut down count to 10 restart
with putter >game putter open < 1 side , wait a few min's
and just touch for heat,video card is first,ram is second
make sure the fan on the video card is working at all time's
if someone just replaced it,then that is your problem

heat on these unit's is a bugger
it can do alot of damage fast
chk all fan's
inculding the aux switcher used for 12 to the dba <digital-bill-adpater>
and coin door and the 5 to sub system's,it should be located at the front of the cab,is a normal putter switcher,also chk the heat sink of the micro,if need be
remove fan and housing alummin and re-heat-sink-lube-it,and put in new fan's
all around,forget cleaning them as that is a patch at best

Hi Ed this sounds very exciting, now if only u can instruct me on how I can make this happen please? My machine is a team challenge with an upgrade kit all access pass it says. This gives me a few more courses than normal as my cousin has the normal team challenge machine. I also have players cards n 1 operator plus card n as previously stated would love instructions on how to unlock all players courses items tournament online etc. let's start with unlocking players courses.
Can u please provide step by step instructions this would be greatly appreciated?

the ins. u are after is perty much straight foward now that u have answered 1 q
op card...with it the new.cfg/.dat that i will put toghter, will go in seam-less.
it does in into hercules and replace's the orignal,the demand and u will c it is that it make's a back up .dat of the original .dat,this must :must: be put in it's own .dir
it is a command in the .dat i will not un-lock at all do not ask..
as far as turnnie goes i am north of the border,u should beable to hook to gobal-vr's net. in the usa ?,there hub is in the great windy city
ping it,if not u can set a few bud's up,using your unit as the server head,u will need ram..512k is just not enough,plus a new asus mirco would not hurt with a wack of ram so u have buffer to play on line,vpn require's a min of bandwith
and ptp is the best way,your machine must stay on at all time's or :server: link
is lost.it is coded to use 2 reader's read it 2 1=op 1=player = u
op must must be in there at all time's or u crash the system,all dat is saved in your unit,so u see where a rather large storgage device is handy here,no i have not coded into cloud so if some one want's to chime in i am all ear's:)
dial up is rather slow,straight dsl is good enough,wireless 5g is best for now
we could do 802-11-g/h/new-z any of them can be coded in
u must pick as the .dat call's for it and will expect it.
once i upload the .dat it come's with a brief how to,follow the short set of how to's
u are just about there...it will ask u alot of q's have your pen and paper handy
u will be writting down alot of #'s.,they must be put in and saved

Thx heaps for this response this all sounds great n wish to proceed as instructed to get things happening. Am I right in saying that you will supply me with a new cfg file n new dat file that I need to add to my system. If so please instruct how u will get this to me n what I need to do to make this unlock new players courses items etc.
In regards to the tournaments I am in Australia n not sure if I will be able to hook into the USA server without any lag however I can try. Also are you asking me to change pcs in order to make this run locally. If so I have a few Acer core duos 2.4ghz handy which I can use with 4gig ram. Would it be just a matter of swapping out the hard drives n plugging everything to the new pc including the dongle. Will this work?  If so then would love to get it set up with ur help and instructions. Please let me know exactly what you need me to do Ed?

now here is the tricky part,do not do not go to full safe mode
go to safe mode debugging

Trying my best to set things up as you suggested. My bios is all setup as u require. Now looking to setup VPN in windows. It asks if I want to use my smart card for this connection do I say yes or no?
Also not sure how to get into windows while game is loading? I clicked the start button but game kept loading so I hit control alt delete n stopes game that way. I then loaded I explore.exe as open desktop didn't work under new task as per ur instructions. Also needing to run a LAN cable to the machine unless a wireless dongle might work??
In the mean time can you advise me on how to unlock all players n courses as I see they are all there on my system so I can enjoy them until we figure out how to play online against my friends.

windows must answer it.....
from there u go start
and follow what i stated
ie start/control-panel/internet option's/connection's/setup/add/the ip's u want to ping into u and u into them,that is vpn,we then tell herc that it is lan :not dial up:
as hercules clealy show's a dial -up connection in it's .cfg this is under :connexict:
we just change that to our new :ethernet:

invoke other course's c:/gobalvr/add/player's/def table.....ie where they are and who they are...
u must define each and every 1

Follow what you said n used f8 to get into windows I am able to set up vpns. Do I set up one for every ip that will link to my machine including one for my machine? Awaiting ur instructions and the file uploads to make these tournaments happen.
Also couldn't find c:/gobalvr/add/player's/def table as you suggested on my system. Do I have to create these folders n if so wat needs to go in them to unlock all courses players items etc. I can see folders of different players n courses would do much love to add these to my game. Please instruct how I can do this as I am desperate to have them unlocked.

tonight,the player's and course's are clearly marked where i said they will be,u can

ie the same >.extenision< as the other player's and course's,we still have baby step's to take before we fully invoke online turrnie play,ie we need to set herc
for lan instead of dial-up,we need to kill the dial-up and add our own ip-.cfg to herc

sorry if  i caused confusion and had u spend money u did not have to
but all of the pga's i have expect the test 1 use's a exp. card
so i was going by feild exp,forgetting i had redone my .cfg in this unit

ok. i got the usb card cheap so thats no problem. the usb card does work as i loaded the file you gave me with a flash drive before the puter shut down. if the mobo usb can handle the card reader then it must be a file or something wrong because the mobo and the card dont see the reader, or both my readers are bad. i bought the second reader as tested good but you never know. im going to get to the machine later today and ill post what i find out about the fans and ram.

and if so u will need to use ati >green-video-card< and or red nivda
of eariler verision
to open there hard drive i will need to boot to linux
as the video is  controlled by a=eprom and b=pgl chip
it is perty much hard coded in
but all is not lost if this is the case as i have crossed over many of them
to other video card's
pga golf by gobal vr dose have the forementiond .dir's exposed and u can edit at will

it's easy enough once u do it a few time's
but if u have never done it i can see where u can become confused
u will also need a walk through to invoke the :lan: as it is a tad more involved
i will suggest u print both out and keep them handy until u become more flunet
in this..>no dis there mate<,turn's out i need to write the complete .exe file for the lan so that will set me back a day,i kust may brute force it,but i am not sure if it will stick..i have my network set now so i can test tonight

in the back-ground,but the game running in reg mode,i know that sound's strange
but the point here is to invoke/mouse/window's control over the game,which u would have if u fowlled my ins >with-out-re-booting<,as the game will default to normal,from there,u will beable to see pga 2006 or +,if u look at the file ext's it want's to open they are olny anark media file's >this is how the eng's of gobal<
hid the file's,we need to add a window's call for all knowen file type's,no bigie here

do me a fav and set your hard-drive to slave and pop it inside of your home tower and or an external,rem your last jumper setting as it just might be cable select,and will need to go back when we are done
from there depending on the box u are hooking to it will be
EXAMPLE HERE c:\pga\hercules in there u should see 3dfx
it should show up as pga-->>drive<< hercules,then u should see nividia >video driver pack<..we need your new video card id there and in hercules

for the 3 of u spitfire/cvn53/dirt if u all can remove the harddrive and do it this way
we can better get to collective goal's

Hi Ed, I did as you have instructed using f8 n had the game running in the background n yes I do have a Pga 2006 folder also many others. However couldn't find the globalvr folder n it's subfolders u ask me to goto to add new players. I have a gvr folder gvr plus folder but no subfolders matching ur description above. I will wait until u have everything ready to go to be able to add/unlock the new players courses n items etc n also the online tournaments before I go changing to much as I really want to continue playing the game as I fn love it ha ha. I have slaved PGA and there is no PGA folder in C:\ in hercules there is no 3dfx,also in C:\ there is a Nvidia folder here is a list of folders in C: Drive- Folders are ATI,Doc&Settings,gvr,gvrplus,hercules,Nvidia,pga_tour_golf_2005,Program Files,rescue,rescue disk,tournment and windows.In hercules all I have is alot of exe's,stopall.bat,us2_dismiss.wks and coin_drop.wav. PS-PGA is the name of C drive
