Hyperspin - setting up emulators other than Mame
« on: October 19, 2011, 07:21:15 pm »
Wondering if anyone has gone through the tons of confusion and help me save some time setting up other emulators in Hyperspin.

Mame worked easily and perfect.

Every other emulator has problems, with and without hyperlaunch.

Just looking for basic checks...like "make sure your roms are no - intro"...."when you add the modules, make sure you do this and don't do that"

I find the whole setup process overwhelming and I think they really need a tutorial for this stuff but who am I?

I have setup 10+ emulators in hyperspin. The Hyperspin boards are a great resource. Search them out and you will pretty much always find help for almost any system you want setup.
A lot of the emulators need to run/shutdown via autohotkey. You need that installed and you need to learn how to modify the hyperlaucnh.ahk script with hyperspin and then to compile it. All this info is at Hyperspin.
Good luck.

I finally got it to work...I did mess with a few things but I think the one that changed it was putting each emulator on Hyperlaunch- except mame.
And then in main settings clicking Full Screen box and then I had 800x600 in the window size box beside the Full Screen check box and when I removed the 800x600 value then my emulators starting working.

Hope it saves anyone some much wasted time.

Wow, you had 3 different posts regarding this same exact issue?  No wonder you weren't getting anywhere... Glad to see you figured it out.

Dude I've had lots of problems setting up Hyperspin.  If anyone can tell me exactly how to setup the 2600 I'd love to know.  Stella isn't supported and mess is just horribly confusing.

Stella isn't supported?  Sure it is...  Use HyperLaunch 2.0 and our 2600 Stella module
