Maximus Arcade and intro videos
« on: October 16, 2011, 12:57:32 pm »
I downloaded some sample intro vids in AVI format at EmuMovies, placed then in the "snaps" folder, and then went to MA to see how they looked. When I went to each game in the list that had an intro, it took awhile for the video to display. Initially, it said "No Image Available" and then the video would play. Is this normal? I was hoping the video would display right away as the game title was in focus and wasn't expecting any lag. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You should put it in a movies folder.  If you put it in snaps it may interfer with the snap loading.  Usually the snap shows first and then the video starts.  Pics in snap.   Movies in introvid or wherever you have them.

Thanks for the info! That was totally my bad. I had the vids in the snaps folder when they should have been in a different folder (created a "movies" folder per ur suggestion). I downloaded snapshots and put those in the "snaps" folder. Now the snapshot will display for a brief moment and the movie plays right after. Pretty cool stuff.  :) Now I just need to shell over a few bucks and download the entire intro vids collection from EmuMovies...
