I bought a mame cabinet...It has a LG Philips a48qad220x horizontal monitor in it...I'm a relative noob to configuring this stuff and whatnot...

It had an older pc with the old AGP  avga card in it and it worked well, but was a little (or a lot) slow, especially for newer games...I'd since decided to upgrade the hardware and do the PCIe AVGA 3000....I built a new pc in the cab, installed xp media center...Copied over the Mameuifx folders and other emulators...

So...first thing I noticed was that there was more flickering on interlaced modes (XP desktop, mame games where I had the ini's set to stretch at 640x480)....The whites of the screen seem to be most notable on the flicker...The other emulators (non mame) also appeared to flicker...I haven't checked on all those yet, but am guessing I had them at 640x480 stretched possibly and that's why there is the flicker.

So...I have a couple of issues:

1) more flicker with new card/cpu. Is there any way to address it? At times the white text on Maximus is hard to read...Sometimes impossible on XP...XP's not a big deal, but the FE and other emulators are a concern

2) Ms Pac man and other vertical games are cut off at the top & bottom, I've tried some different resolutions and configurations. I thought from the Ultimarc site that the 352x288 should work, but no luck.  (also tried grooovymame and still experienced screen cutoff with no default ini files for the games and the default groovymame mame.ini)...Used Mamewah's mame resolution tool to test....

So...my current main concern is getting the classic vertical games to work on my cab again...below is my mamuifx mame.ini. Is there anything obvious that eeds changed?  Also, what settings do you have that work for Ms Pacman in case I can try something with that??
