IPAC configs
« on: October 12, 2011, 11:50:07 am »
Hi,

I am using an old I-Pac 2 (bought in 2004) and I am trying to save the config on it. I'm having a couple of issues. The good news is that I'm able to assign keys in table view and I have managed to program it so for the most part, it is working. However, I'm having the following issues.

1. When I go into panel layout, I punch in the buttons from my control panel to correspond to the buttons on the screen. Everything maps perfectly but when I save it, only the button layout (with no keys mapped to it) remain. Ultimately I suppose this isn't a big deal because the keys are mapped properly but it's still a mystery to me. Anyone know why this would be?

2. I can't seem to assign a shift program. The P1 button is supposed to be the shift key and in the table layout I went to the player 1 button 8 key (which I have assigned as Enter) and punched in 'tab' so that when I press P1 and the Enter key together on my panel it should bring up the tab menu... unfortunately nothing is happening. Any advice here?

3. Really weird issue with Hyperspin. I have left a message over there on this so maybe this isn't the place to put it but I'll leave it here in case anyone else has experienced this. My control panel works perfectly in Hyperspin and Mame. However, when I go to exit, if I choose Exit and click the Enter button the screen freezes and I have to hit the Windows button on my keyboard. Once I minimize the start menu that has popped up then my Enter button works...

Any help here would be great.

When this happens next, hit alt-ctrl-delete and see if autohotkey.exe is running as a process  You might be inadvertently executing a script.

Thanks, I checked and the only thing that seems to run (at barely 1 percent) is fourengine which is some kind of asus power saver....

Any other ideas here? I'm kind of stuck on this.
