Xbox and ultimarc AV adapter
« on: October 10, 2011, 07:28:19 pm »
I have a MAME machine and the computer blew a few caps in it the other day, so thinking I may as well hook up my XBOX as the new MAME machine in there. However am a little confused by the ultimarc site.

The monitor in my cab is a pentranic 25khz/15khz monitor. Reading the site, it says that you need the xbox to JAMMA connector. The issue for me is that I do not have a JPAC or JAMMA in this cabinet, will this matter?

I need to get the XBOX to iPAC adapter, I am just unsure on the AV side.

On ultimarc it says for multires monitors, the jpac AV adapter is needed, but I am just not clear on whether it matter or not that I do not have a JPAC and/or Jamma.

The monitor used to be hooked up to an Arcade VGA and the amplifier is still there, so just not sure which part to order

Can anyone clarify for me?

Cheers
Dan

pretty sure the ultimarc av cable will still work without a jpac. standard 5 wires from your arcade monitor goes on the av cable. you should email ultimarc before ordering.

I think snaake is right, they are independent.  Just like your gamepad doesn't have anything to do with your TV.   ;D  Wouldn't hurt to check with ultimarc though.

I'm pretty sure the video cable snaake posted will do the trick.  Andy from ulitmarc will know for sure.  I'm testing a few otpions for relacing a pc with an old xbox in a Mame cab and the quality of the ultimarc iPac -> xBox one converter is spectacular!  I highly reccommend it.

For the software side, check out coinops 2 and soon coinops 3.
