--> Windows or Dos?
Now that the ArcadeVGA is available, forget about DOS... (unless of course you want to run mame on a really old machine, or don't want to pay the $$$ for the ArcadeVGA) and Windows. With dos you can forget about Daphne, networking (use kaillera to play mame against other people, configure the arcade cab remotely using vnc) and a ton of other stuff - usb support, software that does stuff in 3d... 'Specially with the 9200, are you nuts?
--> What frontend?
Almost all frontends I've tried frustrate me too much to even get them working... MameWah wasn't like that. Gamelauncher and AdvanceMenu are the only other ones I've ever gotten to work, and they both lack MameWah's nice features.
--> What video card?
I dunno - ArcadeVGA is great w/ my standard res arcade monitor... What's the deal with using the AVGA with the 9200? Is that so you don't have to use hardware stretching to display all the different arcade resolutions? (I'm ignorant)
--> What monitor?
I LOVE having the 25" standard res monitor with the arcadeVGA. I like the authenticity of it, and I suppose it's fun to rig it to actually display stuff. One problem with it is that 720 is one of the few games that used a medium resolution monitor so it doesn't look all that great (interlaced)

. Most people seem really happy with either.
Show me the money!
