Hyperspin setup trouble
« on: October 01, 2011, 09:47:07 am »
Anyone else having the same problems as me? I am having a tough time getting the controls to respond properly. My 4th button exits mame for some reason and I think that Hyperspin is doing that...

I've found the Hyperspin forum a little useless - no real accurate responces and mostly seems like a bunch of guys who think they know too much and you know nothing.

Also was trying to setup "Hyperpin" and I can't seem to get much info...does Hyperpin work inside Hyperspin? Because Future pinball can work inside Hyperspin...so why would I need Hyperspin.

Just general questions about the software...thanks

Dazz

Wow, really?  You think comments like that are going to make anyone want to give you a response?

First off... "4th button"...  means nothing to anyone without you explaining your setup.

Second, HyperSpin has NOTHING to do with how MAME is exiting.  That is unless you have HyperLaunch enabled.  If you have it enabled then disable HyperLaunch in your MAME settings in HyperHQ.  Then make sure that you have your buttons correctly mapped within the MAME emulator.  Always make sure that your emulators are opening, playing and exiting correctly without HyperSpin before trying to setup HyperSpin.

For your second question... No, you can't run HyperPIN from within HyperSPIN.  They are two different applications for two completely different types of setups.  HyperPIN is specifically designed for PINBALL CABINETS using a vertical screen along with a second and/or third screen setup.  It is NOT for normal MAMEcabinet setups.  I believe for using Future Pinball in HyperSPIN, make sure that you've switched over to using HyperLaunch 2.0 and download our new Future Pinball module.

I finally got it to work...I did mess with a few things but I think the one that changed it was putting each emulator on Hyperlaunch- except mame.
And then in main settings clicking Full Screen box and then I had 800x600 in the window size box beside the Full Screen check box and when I removed the 800x600 value then my emulators starting working.

Hope it saves anyone some much wasted time.

and the files from a dude on a site that goes with underground and gamer together...that site has a ton of Hyperspin stuff that fixed up the problems
