arcadeemulator.net - Reliable?
« on: September 27, 2011, 12:47:03 pm »
has anyone purchased or worked with this site for parts. I didnt see anything in the wiki for a review so thought i would ask.  I like the idea of getting everything from 1 location to save on shipping.

looking to get an IPAC2, buttons, sticks.

That's Divemaster127' site.  He's a member here and has a thread in Buy/Sell/Trade.  He's highly recommended.

Introducing The Tone Ledger, a premium 5x7 inch, 100 pg notebook designed for guitarists, bassists, keyboardists...pretty much anyone who enjoys using amps and pedals. Great for experienced musicians, hobbyists, or students just getting started.

He's good, I bought a coin door off him. Cheaper than buying directly from Happ. I use Lizardlick from my Japanese parts  Groovy Game Gear is also very good.

+1 on the recommendation and especially good for Happ items.  DM doesn't ship every day like some of the vendors on here, so if you're a shipping nazi be prepared.

Yah,  if you are just getting into this hobby be prepared for a money pit.  Ten years later, you have many projects & your garage will be full.  I work full time in the oil fields.  So I ship a couple evenings a week & pack all day on saturydays.  This week, I have been shipping about 15 orders a day & I still have about 40 to get packed & shipped at the moment.  A lot of people like to be able to get happ & ultimarc at 1 site & shipped all together.  I stock about $15K at all times but its impossible to stock everything from happ but I do special orders all the time.  About the only items I do not carry, no monitors & I offer bezels for local pickup only.  The shipping on bezels is horrible.
