Favorite fighting game with only 4 buttons?
« on: September 25, 2011, 12:41:30 pm »
Street Fighters and Mortal Kombats won't really work on my vertical cocktail cabinet with 4 buttons.  But with the mame 'cocktail' mode, a few 4-button fighters would help round out my list.

Favorites?

I've always preferred Tekken, myself. 4 buttons.
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter

The King of fighters series would work for you , i like the 96 best of all, plus you can add all the neogeo games.

These are all great suggestions, thanks!  I don't know if I have the horsepower for tekken thru mame on this cocktail, but it is indeed on my upright with epsx emulator.

I just discovered that Karnov's Revenge is basically a 4-button sequel to Fighter's History, which was a 6-button fighter like SF.
