Big Buck Hunter Shotguns ?
« on: September 20, 2011, 08:38:37 am »
Need a couple replaced, but the best price on Ebay for a used gun is about $160 !!  Anyone know of (or selling) better prices or places to buy?

  * thanks ninjas *

Which version do you need?  Cointech on Ebay has new 29" shotguns for $160.  At least you don't need guns for a House of the Dead 3...those are $650!

There is a USB version used on BBH Safari and newer BBH games.

So does the USB version:

work with MAME? What is the optic method? Does this gun need an IR LED array?

what's the issue with the original guns???... there is only a little board inside that can often be repaired for about $5 worth of parts(replace LM311 chip), or replaced entirely for about $30 from happ. http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement/optical/47445700.htm

Will the array from the AimTrak guns (http://www.ultimarc.com/aimtrak.html) work? I already have those to use in my cab for shooter games but it would be cool to have usb shotguns for those types of games too.

no, the Amtrak guns use a system similar to the wii sensor bar. 2 sets of infra red LED's. senses position relative to the bar.

the buck hunter array is a set of 10... 5 on the top of the screen and 5 on the bottom.

Do they sell that array separately?

Sweet, thx. I literally have no clue what the inside of a bbh looks like, let alone the guns. so theyre usb?  and wut is an array?   I know, i know- NEWB alert!  lol  So what do I look for?   Basically when you shoot the gun is aiming 2 feet away from where you point it....I figured it needs an adjustment or small part, But was willing to buy a new gun so I dont have to muck with it  :)   Any help would be appreciated !

Pressing the service button on the game will bring up a menu where it will allow you to calibrate the gun.
