MAME Ignoring proper joystick configuration.
« on: September 18, 2011, 05:18:33 pm »
I have a MAME cabinet with USB joysticks & buttons as well as several gamepads. Even with a fresh install of the latest MAME and configuring joystick input properly for player 1 & player 2, MAME will only read input for JOYSTICK0 & JOYSTICK1. I can't seem to figure out how to force windows to keep these as JOYSTICK0&1 to get around the problem. Mame will only work properly with my main joysticks & buttons if I unplug all my additional gamepads.

Anyone ever experience something like this? Thanks.
