Please help me find a thread/post
« on: September 12, 2011, 01:58:50 pm »
I've been a bit of a lurker on here for a while spending hours marvelling at the dedication and craftsmanship which you all seem to have  :notworthy: I just wish you could bottle it and sell it! I would buy a crate of it.

Anyhow, one post I saw had the, IMO, the best looking gamesroom/bar/basement I've ever seen and I was going to show a pal it and do you think I can find it again? Nope :-[ Should have bookmarked it I know :-[

So I was kinda hoping if I described the room someone might be able to point me in the right direction...........please.

It was a big light coloured room with, I think, a white wooden staircase coming down into the room on the left hand side of the picture. There was a bar over on the right but set further back than the stairs. There was also a funky table set around a support pillar with, if I remember, no sign of support. The whole thing was understated and looked very cool.

Does this ring any bells with anyone? I've spent HOURS searching for but I keep getting sidetracked ;D drventure's STEAMPUNK CAB for instance lost me a whole afternoon

Many thanks, Kevin.

Was it a tiki style bar with a Jaeger cooler, lcd tv, above the bar, a showcase style mame machine,  a game table, a fruit machine or three etc?  If it was in EE a few years ago then it was linked to a VW forum based in Southwest Ohio.  I looked for it a few times on their boards but couldnt find it again. Its been a few years since I looked.

Nice  8) but not the one I was thinking of. I like the idea of using guitars as decoration.....can't play a note myself  ;D

The room I'm thinking of is sort of more minimalistic  :-\

Thanks for the link  ;)

Within the last week, huh?  How far back does you history go on your browser?  If you can think of a specific couple of days you checked it out, you can check out your history and see if anything rings a bell.

I'm trying to do that  s l o w l y  :) I've browsed this forum on 3 different computers over the last couple of weeks and with 4 kids and a wife also using them there is a LOT of history to look back on  :-[  And I keep getting side-tracked with all the craftsmanship on here. I'm sure I'll get there though. Thanks for your help ;)
