kortek 2182 chassis on 27 inch Tube?? Can this be done?

I picked up a PGA Tour Golf CE cab that has this configuration inside of it. The monitor currently doesn't work. It belonged to my friend and it did work when he first got it but for a very short time. It now just clicks..

I attached a couple pics. The monitor frame clearly shows that it should be a KT-2938 chassis which I've found to be the case in all my searches for PGA Tour Monitor help. But the board as you can see is clearly stamped KT-2182. Will that work or should I not waste my time trying to fix the clicking noise? From what I understand, KT-2182 is for Flat Screen 21" Tube monitors and the kt-2938 is for 27" monitors like this PGA.

It is entirely possible that Kortek used the same board for both models with some component tweaks.  They did this for the KT-3414DF, for example (uses KT-2914 chassis).

Yeah, after doing some searching on the KT-2182, I found that what you say is probably the case. In fact, after giving it some thought I remembered having a Sharp 27" in a Big Buck Hunter II cab. I checked my records and in fact it was just a KT-2182 as well. I guess it wasn't standard practice to put a 2182 into a PGA Tour Cab but it should work non the less.

With that in mind.. Any thoughts on the clicking noise?  I'll test the HOT tonight, I'm hoping that's all it is.

That and the vertical IC are generally a good place to start on any monitor.
