Explore CHD without restoring to it's own drive?
« on: August 08, 2011, 01:46:38 pm »
Is there anyway to extract a CHD to a folder so I could look at the files without extracting it to it's own separate drive?

I'm curious about the pc based games, starting with Battle Gear (Taito Type X).
I have no hope of making them work, but I'm curious as to what's in there.
It would be cool if there are intro videos, images, etc in a useable format.

I don't know about the format specifically, but I'm pretty sure that chds are like the HDD version of an iso.  You should probably be able to mount it with some sort of tool.  I would check all of those misc exes that come with mame, there are two or three that are chd managers.
