Hello, I got this arcade machine that everything turns on except the screen, you can hear the music playing and everything but the screen won't turn on at all.

what is the first thing to look for??? i've only check the two fuses that i saw, other then that I don't know what to check for,

what would be the next thing to check for, and if is not that what is next after that???

thats the monitor power input so it will have the same affect as the monitor is not working
not really repairable for a novice

that looks like some kind of wei ya or chinese clone chassis-unreliable if the latter
maybe cheaper just to buy a replacement chassis

There's a large resistor near the power input that looks like it's been hit by something and bent over.  One of the leads may be touching the nearby heatsink.  This could certainly cause problems.  Might have caused so much damage that it's not worth fixing.

Also, this thing MUST be run via an isolation transformer, which should be installed somewhere in the cabinet.  I hope you're not plugging it directly into the wall.

From the picture, it appears like the 2 main uses are not open, but check the with an ohmmeter (of course power off).. in fact remove them and chack because if any of the caps are still charged it may blow the fuse in the meter.  Next check the diodes to the right of the fuse, I believe they are the bridge rectifier diodes (I would have expected 4 but only see 2). There is signs of heat around 1 of the resistors in the power supply, looks like a 2~3 watt resistor as well as 1 of the transistors with the heat sink. This is not abnormal, but sometimes indicates a failure. Based on the picture, this chassis requires an isolation transformer, if it has been connected to power without and signal was attached, for sure a power supply isssue!!
Not sure if this helps you, but hopefully so.
Always happy to help.., for the best in displays

First thing you always want to check for is power. make sure you have 120v at the input. make sure your 2 fuses are good (not by sight but with a meter).
If power is good, do you have high voltage? do you see the glow in the neck tube?
Usually you should read the voltage at the big resistor to the left of your power input (in photos). If the voltage is real high (160v or so, its different for different monitors) then chances are you have an issue in your horizontal circuit or maybe the flyback is blown.
That cap to the left of the big resistor looks like its really shrunk back also.
Also being that you have some overheated looking components there, it may be benificial to go through and resolder as many solder joints as you can. I have had a good number of monitors that were simply suffering from bad solder joints.

If you're new to monitor repair, it is strongly advised that you do some reading up on them, especially pertaining to safety and discharge.
