Did google and the phones shut down while you were in Vegas?

And were they still shut down when you got home?
You were able to post here, but not google the location of the PBHOF?
That's affirmative. No internet access means exactly that. Home is a 10 hour plane ride (well 9 hours this time).
It is really too bad you missed it considering how far you travelled to get to vegas. Hopefully your work will get you there again.
I found that, to be completely honest, Vegas has really gone down since the economic upheaval. I used to live there and most of the places I used to go to either closed down or moved. I was on holiday, so I thought it would be great to drive around and visit my old haunts. It was really disappointing. I don't gamble, Frys was a hassle - their staff was so crap. I wanted a Belkin Laptop backpack. They said they had none in stock, I found 8 different Belkin Backpacks after the sales guy looked for 20 minutes. The prices for their gear was extortionate. Everything in the UK is like nearly half the price. Go figure. I went into Dillards and JCPenny thinking that there was going to be massive sales. No. More sales persons than customers.

On an arcade point of view, even Gameworks sucked. When I was at Gameworks they had a bar upstairs in the back that served alcohol, and there was kids playing in the same bar area. Circus Circus is all redemption except for a few racing games. I wanted to go downtown and find that arcade with a bar, but it got to 108F and walking around with the homeless people downtown in that heat was not fun.

It took four days before I decided to drive the 470 miles up to Reno. I had a hotel in Vegas for two weeks paid for but it was all very boring. Next time I will just Jet to Reno. I went into Circus Circus in Reno and they had more arcade games (neo geo) than in Vegas. The Legacy casino had three arcades inside, but nothing interesting that stood out. There was a crazy golf with an arcade in Reno but again there was nothing of interest. Just the average quarter munchers.
Other than Starbucks or Barnes & Noble it was quite difficult to get internet access, and when you are without it for two weeks it can make an impact on your holiday.
I stayed at my brother's house and the electronic seclusion was a blessing. Just trees, horses, dogs, chickens and redbox.
