Hdmi out on pc to component in on tv

Is it doable or do i have to buy a new video card. tv is a sony trinitron card is pci ex x16. if i do need a new card can you recommend an affordable one. thank you . much appreciation.

hdmi is a digital signal that cannot be 'adapted' into component. Does your card have any analog output? That's what you need to hook up to the TV.

It does not I've seen converters that claim that they can do it but I don't trust them much.

Such "converters" definitely exist.  They're not simple passive adapters, like HDMI to DVI converters, but rather they include circuitry to convert the digital signal to an analog one.  The HD Fury is an example of one.

So do I trust the converter or try to find a component out video card?i haven't had any luck finding a component out video card.

Not one of those cards have component out.the card does have dvi too. Same problem I think

if they say 'hdtv' out instead of hdmi, they mean component:
