Ah, excellent games, still waiting for D4...
2.) Does anyone use a Star Wars yoke connected to a PC to play Descent?
If so, how well does it work?
I'm not sure how you would use that. The yoke is presumably a two handed control, but in Descent you also need the slide U/D/L/R controls which are key to any kind of decent gameplay. You really need 13 controls to fully maneuver - Pitch U/D/L/R, Slide U/D/L/R, Roll L/R, Thrust F/B/Afterburn. This is a two-handed operation on a mouse/keyboard setup, so even a dual simple joystick won't cut it, dual flightstick maybe, if one has a hat control. Plus you need fire buttons. Great game, but without an elaborate flightstick setup I think you need a keyboard/mouse.
I hadn't considered it before but getting D1/2/3 running on a dual flightstick setup would be epic, it would bring a great new element to the gameplay. I'll have to remember that when planning my CP.
3.) Does anyone use a Star Wars yoke connected to a PC to play Free Space 2?
If so, how well does it work?
This might be slightly better, but again not really suited to a two-handed yoke. I don't recall all the controls, but I think there are a significant number of buttons used on the keyboard (targeting/match speed/countermeasures/weapon control/etc).
