Vinyl CPO art on bare pine
« on: July 07, 2011, 01:06:12 pm »
My CPO should be arriving from GameOnGrafix in a few days. Their website warns of issues applying adhesive vinyl to bare MDF, but in my case my control panel is 3/4" solid pine that has been sanded smooth. Do the same warnings apply and should I put a coat of paint before I apply the CPO or will the adhesive stick fine to the solid wood surface?

I advise sealing that wood first - even though you think it is clean and smooth. Wood will always leach residue causing the adhesive to loose contact.
Get yourself some paint or sealant and give it a coat or two first. Sanding it before applying the overlay otherwise you will see tiny bumps.
My art is always free for you to download and modify as you see fit...
Why?... because I could never find any art I loved on the net. So I played around with Photoshop and wish to share it with the arcade community.
