Changing Shinobi Dip Switch Settings
« on: June 12, 2011, 11:57:56 pm »
I'm guessing this is an operator error problem, but I'm stymied. I've had a Shinobi game for a while and it's always been set to unlimited players and I'd like to change it to limit the number of lives. I know what the setting should be and I can get to the screen where it shows the 2 dipssitches but I can't figure out how to scroll down to it to change them... Treid every switch and button and nothing works. I either end up going to the next test page or change the sound settings... any ideas?

As far as I understand that is the test screen you are referring to. That only shows the state of the DIP settings.
You have to physically change the DIP switches found at the PCB.

Yea man, if this is what your board looks like they should be right there.
I usually unplug my game before changing the switches just in case.

Yep. I knew I'd feel stupid after getting the answer. I looked and looked on that damn board and looked right over it at least 10 times. Got it now thought. Many thanks.
