LedBlinky, Hyperspin & MAMEUI32
« on: June 12, 2011, 05:59:15 pm »
I recently switch from using maximus arcade to Hyperspin in my MAME cab.  I am having trouble with Hyperspin/Mame saying the names of the controls for mame games.  When I used maximus arcade I had no problems.  Now when I start a mame game it announces the game and the correct buttons light up but the game's buttons don't flash and the names of the button's controls are not named.  Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening?  I have a feeling it is something between LEDBlinky/HP and MAMEUI32 but I'm not sure what.
Thanks.
Tom.

Hmmm...actually it works.  For some reason the speech for buttons does not work with NeoGeo games so I am finding out.  Not sure if they are not in my mame controls.ini or what.

If the rom is not listed in the controls.ini file then it won't speak the control actions. Using the Controls Editor, you can import any missing roms and set the text to speak the control actions.
