*UPDATE*So the replacement monitor has some problems anyway, attached are pics of what it looks like, both an unidentified game atrract and the icade 60/1 selection screen. You Guys who know who what they're doing any suggestions? cap kit  or trash?

Hi guys noob here, but I like to try to do it myself, The cab is an original afterburner upright with the original boards.

Old original monitor completely broken, it was labeled goldstar on the side. Replacement monitor is a wells gardner 19k4625. R,G, and B makes sense except for the + vs. - argument on the replacement monitor. Any help is much obliged.

Old monitor had:
R
G
B
GND
HS
VS

New monitor has:
R
G
B
GND
POS VS
POS HS

GND
NEG VS
NEG HS

sync should be on neg hs
if you still have slightly scrambled picture then adjust the frequency pot which is located on the daughter board-accessible from the side by long terminal blade type screwdriver

HI thank you for your time grantspain, this is the white one visible on the input board in the posted pic of the WG, right?

Any input on the garbled video the monitor is giving in the third and fourth pics? It's definitely not an adjustment issue I'm just wondering if this is what cap kits or trash bins fix.. :dunno

grantspain, thank you so much for your help :applaud:. Tweaking that red pot and watching that scrambled screen come together was an amazing feeling.

Afterburner is getting a work out tonight!
