Moonbase cocktail restoration / mame
« on: April 30, 2011, 01:45:35 am »
I got this MoonBase cocktail cab today, not too bad exterior, questionable interior.
It doesnt power up and its clearly missing something on the right side, there are wires that have been cut for some reason and holes where something was screwed down - power supply?

Theres also some wiiieerrrrddd round organic thing with holes in under the tube with wires in! Is that meant to be there or is it an old wasps nest or something.
Looking at the pics, would you restore this or gut it and Mame it? Ive built a nice Mame cab before but never tried a real restoration.

I could be totally wrong, but I don't see a power supply. The transformer for the monitor and stuff is there, but yeah.... I could be wrong, not totally familiar with older hardware.
