please help. i cannot get my JammASD to work with my new cabinet. jammasd is kind of like a jpac but theres almost no support anywhere online for it and what there is is usually in Italian.
ive tried the JammaASD on my old cab with a PS2/3 converter from ultimarc and it worked fine so im quite sure the JammaASD is not broken. my new cabinet is a little different though. first off its a lot larger. secondly its got a podium control panel. lastly its wired for power differently.
my xbox 360 runs beautifully on the new cab but my old sf2 jamma board has graphical glitches. not sure if thats a power issue or a board issue. if its a power issue could it be related? graphical studdering is what it looks like.
the power is wired up differently than the other cab. the old cab is wired up like the "bob roberts" diagram and my new one just has this large "pc looking" power supply that has a button on it instead of being wired up to an external switch, isolation transformer, etc. its got two molex connectors for jamma power and one for the rest of the cab.
i thought my problem may have been the power supply so i took my harness and power out of the old cab and tried it with the new monitor. no change. the image just wont sync horizontally with the JammASD. i havent tried pc on it yet atm im still trying to get ps2 to work and im hoping to go the soft15khz way which im worried may be difficult.
the jammasd has a jumper setting that has 3 modes. 24khz, 15/31khz, and 15khz. the only way i can get the ps2 to display properly on the old cab is by removing the jumper all together. id really just like to see pc working on this but ill worry about soft15khz later. ps2 should work fine afaik.
ive tried playing with my pots but two of them keep powering the monitor off if i play with them and the h-sync will never quite settle. its either rolling to the left or right depending on where i set it. there is no happy medium.
please help. just dying to find out why this thing wont sync.
