I fixed the broken pads on my circuit board, I used the TP9 and TP10 taps which correspond to the middle pads for the left and right pots.  There are a total of 3 solder pads for the left and right triggers. I am hoping I got the wiring straight.  First of all, the 10k resistor goes to the 1st and 3rd hole leaving the middle hole/solder pad empty, right?  That should give me a neutral without doing anything else.  The problem is that when I look at the controller properties in windows (the configuration window so to speak), the triggers seem to "flicker" for lack of better word. they are not stable.  If I try to use the controller in my 360, it acts like the triggers are being randomly hit.

What is the proper way of hooking up these damned resistors so that at least neutralize the triggers and then I can figure out how to wire in the trigger buttons.

I had 3 jumper wires on each of the POT  locations.  I went and desoldered the 10k resistor that I had in place on each side and soldered the pots back in place.  They are just hanging there however it has neutralized the flickering of the Z axis corrsponding to the right and left trigger.  At least I can use it again but I wonder, what should I tap into to get the buttons to work?

That worked.  Left the pots on the wires I soldered in and then tapped into the center wire and one of the outside wires to the button and everything works well with no flickering.  I'm a happy camper now.
