ArcadeVGA 3000 + XP Boot Issue
« on: March 28, 2011, 08:33:07 am »
My new ArcadeVGA 3000 arrived but I have not yet received my new 25" WG arcade monitor. In the meantime I decided to see how the new card worked. I hooked it up and set everything as per the online instructions at Ultimarc.com. It was great and I played for a couple hours. When I went back to boot up the cabinet I saw the normal bios check and the initial Windows XP boot screen/animation. When it came time to release me to the Desktop, the screen went black, flickered about 3 times, and then stayed black. While it was black I heard the Windows theme so I know it completed loading. Now I can't SEE anything unless I reboot into Safe Mode. FYI I did uninstall the existing ATI driver of the old card before I ran the setup from the Ultimarc disc that shipped with the AVGA3K.
